"We started negotiations in Oct 2012. Hurricane Sandy blew off much of the roof. He worked with me and State Farm and helped me negotiate with State Farm to get my roof done. He went out of his way to help me and make sure I was taken care of. Bill, owner, explained how the roof was laid out and was explaining that we can not do this project cheap. Even though he did it the right way he didn't charge me what he could have. First of all he was very sweet and honest. He gives affordable prices. He returns every phone call. He protected all the shrubbery and any damage done to anything on the house we would come back and fix it. His workers were very polite and Bill was the best work for the money. I wanted to see some his work so he sent me to some of the places that he had worked on previous. He goes the extra step and the extra mile. "I had some shingles blow off after high winds from superstorm Sandy, I live high on a hill, winds can easily reach 70 or 80 mph during storms. Called a few roofers and ritter roofing was very prompt on calling me back. Came out to do an estimate, it was very reasonable and asked if I had any shingles on hand. I did and he offered to repair it right away, which he did. Then over winter/spring of this year, again after terrible high winds, I lost another shingle. Again, I called Ritter roofing, and within 2 days, he came up and repaired it. Bill even gave me a discount for using him again. I was pleased with the entire new roof process. The estimator was helpful, the estimate was clear, easily understood and the price was right. On the scheduled day the crew arrived on time, the job was done, roof looks great. We had a list of repairs - garage fascia repairs, velux window replacement and one to fit a new kit and fix leak entering loft space, replacing broken tiles, resetting chimney pots, and sorting out two leaking gutters. In the last two years I have had occasion to use York Roofer for four separate jobs, Ridge tile resetting, End Caps front and rear to prevent decline of the original cement finish/pointing. Replacement of the Garage and Front Entrance Hall Flat roofs with EPDM finish, the Entrance Hall had suffered a serious failure due to water ingress. Recently I have had the polycarbonate roof of a conservatory replaced with a 'warm roof' comprising insulation new boarding a GRP Fibreglass finishing layer and matching UPVC Panels to complete the internal ceiling. The York Roofer team Herbert Joseph and Ricky have been very professional in all work undertaken. The various jobs were discussed in full, best solutions put forward and work completed quickly and efficiently . I am very pleased with the end results exactly as discussed and agreed. I have no hesitation in recommending York Roofer.

A flat roof on our property was showing signs of damp coming through. The covering was tarred felt, and its replacement was long overdue. Herbert from York-Roofer came and examined the roof, took photos to show me the state of the old tarred felt, and discussed the options and his recommendation for replacing it. The work was carried out in a day and a half, and we were shown photos of the roof with its new rubber covering. I had also mentioned rain coming in down the bedroom chimney breast during storms, and this was also fixed with new lead flashing round the chimney stack, also photographed so we could see the result. York-Roofer offers a friendly and efficient service at a fair price, and I am happy to recommend them.
